As owner and founder of SGS Consultancy LLC, I am passionate about Innovation, Technology and Energy. As an engineer, and a manager, I believe in listening and understanding the needs of customers, stakeholders and develop cost-effective, high-quality solutions and services to ensure we meet the highest standards in customer satisfaction.
About me, I started my career at age 19 working in oil fields of Wyoming in late 70's while attending college and then transferring to The University of Texas at Austin where I obtained my B.S. and M.S. in Petroleum Engineering. I continued working during school breaks in an oil and gas consulting firm evaluating oil leases for re-development opportunities.
I joined BP in Alaska as a petrophysicist in 1989 and moved to other roles in petroleum and reservoir engineering. After 9 years in Alaska, I moved to international assignments in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi where I had the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary and diverse teams in field development, business development and technology development projects in partnership with national oil companies.
In 2006 I became a leader in BP flagship technology program focused on digital transformation of BP Upstream business. This is where intersection of excellence in technical skills, technology project management and teamwork delivered significant value to BP's upstream operations and production. Later on I had the opportunity to work in Angola and Romania leading development projects in deep and shallow waters in Atlantic Ocean and Black Sea, respectively.
Throughout this journey I have experienced first-hand how the right combination of talent and professional excellence, technology application and improving processes results in achieving the "upside" of the value curve. Let me help you achieve excellence in meeting your business needs.
